Details and limitations of the workpiece during continuous casting

Announcer:admin Date:2018-09-27
When the continuous casting machine is used for continuous casting of workpieces, since the technology has not yet reached a perfect state, there are still many matters that need to be paid attention to during the operation, so as to ensure the quality and performance of the products obtained by continuous casting.
In the continuous casting process, when the molten steel forms a shell in the mold, since the initial shell is formed at the junction of the molten steel and the protective slag, it is necessary to isolate the air to prevent secondary oxidation of the molten steel. effect.
Secondly, the continuous protective slag will flow into the air gap between the crystallizer and the shell from the meniscus as the crystallizer vibrates. Together with the cooling action of the crystallizer, the slag forms a solidified slag skin. As the speed increases, the heat exchange between the molten steel and the mold wall is strengthened, and the surface of the shell is heated. At this time, the slag layer is heated to form a molten slag film, which can be used to lubricate the slab shell and the mold wall.
In the upper part of the continuous casting machine crystallizer, the shell is subjected to rapid cooling due to the close proximity to the crystallizer wall, and the lower portion is also caused by the air gap caused by the shrinkage of the shell, resulting in an increase in thermal resistance and a decrease in heat derived. At this time, the slag film is uniformly filled therein, thereby reducing the heat conduction in the upper portion of the crystallizer, accelerating the heat conduction in the lower portion of the crystallizer, and promoting the uniform growth of the shell.
As the continuous casting process continues, the protective slag is continuously taken out of the crystallizer. In order to ensure continuous casting, it is necessary to continuously add a corresponding amount of protective slag to the crystallizer in batches, otherwise it may cause a series of undesirable phenomena. However, it is also necessary to remind everyone that when adding mold flux, it is necessary to add more and less.
In fact, from the above points, there is still a certain gap between China's continuous casting technology and foreign countries, mainly reflected in hydraulic systems, electrical control systems; effective integration of technical resources; continuous casting machine equipment and its application software, etc. The gaps in these areas need to be narrowed as soon as possible.
